grandfather's stories

grandfather has so many stories
grandfather has a mind full of stories
fall morning under a tree
grandfather sits there with a white-faced little child
and tells her stories

white girl
selling in the market
and white girl
walking in the hottest day
and white girl
saying something on the pavement of the old way
whisper some words softly
in the run of my grandfather's voice
whisper some words softly
in the dark space that's very terrible there
grandfather's stories

and the white-faced child, listening
feels that grandfather's stories are the real one
she knows that he never forget this one
far of the literature
but if they came
right far of his own world

the little girl smiles
of a fall morning
